Herbert Akins Road Middle School Nighthawk families, students and staff may rent and decorate the Nighthawks PTA Spirit Rock to celebrate birthdays, promote school activities, congratulate teachers or students on accomplishments or just provide a shout out. Rentals are weekly and all proceeds are utilized for PTA programming.
NIGHTHAWKS SPIRIT ROCK INFORMATION
***PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION BEFORE SUBMITTING A SPIRIT ROCK REQUEST FORM***
Rental Period: Saturday - Saturday Weekly Rental runs from 9 a.m. to the following Saturday at 9 a.m.
**Any artwork & supplies are the responsibility of the person who is renting the rock. The PTA does not paint the rock.**

Painting should be done on the weekends or in the evenings when students are not on campus.
Rental is on a first come, first served basis.
Renter is responsible for purchasing paint / supplies needed.
Design / Message on the Spirit Rock must be positive.
Spray paint and acrylic paint markers are the only materials allowed.
Keep areas around the rock clean and neat while painting.
NO profane words or symbols. No derogatory or offensive messages.
The Nighthawks PTA reserves the right to remove any such messages.
The Nighthawks PTA is not responsible for anyone who paints the rock without reserving it, and we will promptly paint over such occurrences.
The PTA also reserves the right to block dates for the Spirit Rock to be used by the school and PTA.
DO NOT USE: Glue, glitter, stickers, texture paint or anything that will permanently alter the rock’s surface.
Renters must paint the design approved in their request.
The rock is not to be used for religious messaging, business advertisements or political messaging or promoting social issues.
Nighthawks PTA is not responsible for weather conditions, personal conflicts, surface conditions, or any other matters that may affect the ability of a renter to paint the Spirit Rock during their assigned rental period.
All rentals are final.
Nighthawks PTA is not responsible for any violations of these policies by rock renters or other parties.
2. A copy of your submitted responses will be sent to you. Nighthawks PTA will review your request and notify you by email within 3 business days when/if your dates are confirmed. Please check your spam folders if you do not see a return email from Nighthawks PTA.
3. Once you receive an email with a conditional approval you must submit payment through the Nighthawks PTA MemberHubsite within 3 days. If a payment is not received, your reservation will be forfeited.
4. After payment is received the renter will be notified by Nighthawks PTA that they are fully approved to decorate the Spirit Rock.
